Hvor mye kan en slik kontrakt være verdt for Polarcus?

Statoil has awarded Norwegian seismic company Polarcus a contract to shoot proprietary 3D seismic off Nicaragua's Pacific Ocean coast, Upstream has learned.

Statoil’s acquired four Nicaraguan licences span about 16,000 square kilometres in the little-explored Sandino basin in in May 2015.

The blocks sit in water depths in the 100-200 metre range.

Statoil operates the five areas with an 85% interest, sharing 15% of the equity with Petronic.

The respective areas are C1, C2, C3 and C4, covering 3980, 3986, 3991 and 3998 square kilometres, respectively.

However, the main focus areas for the 3D seismic acquisition is on the C3 block, Upstream understands

Statoil has described the play as “a long-term opportunity with high subsurface uncertainty, but with impact potential”. The initial exploration work on the block included re-processing of 2D seismic, acquisition of new 2D seismic data and geology and geophysics studies.

The seismic survey will form the main basis for a decision on Statoil’s next steps in the licences.

Depending on the results from the seismic, following processing, Statoil may drill a well toward the end of 2019, a source with the company said.

With Polarcus's new financial platform, we believe debt amortisation is more in
line with FCF. In addition, we consider estimated liquidity of USD 105m,
including the working capital facility, to be sufficient. We reiterate our Buy rating
and target price of NOK 2.5, supported by DCF and asset valuation

Rykende fersk analyse fra Nordea om PLCS. 2,5kr der altså.
