IMSK - Hvorfor går ikke kursen bananas?

I går fikk vi vite at IMSK er tilkjent 6.7 millioner euro i erstatning fra MAN på grunn ev svindel med dieselmotorer fra MAN sin side.
6.7 mill. euro = 63 mill. nok = 63/27.1 mill. aksjer = 2.32/aksje. Hvorfor går ikke kursen bananas?

Tror erstatningssaken og erstatning for tort og svie pågår fremdeles. Det vi fikk i går var en refusjon på forskuddsbetaling samt dekkede saksomkostninger.

6,7 MEUR i likvide midler inn på konto er viktige penger det!:))

Kursen går ikke bananer fordi det har tatt flere uker nå å få bankene med på nytt obligasjonslån - noe som er merkelig. Afrika - avtalen henger på at IMSK tildeles nytt lån. Lite nytt her, ingen oppdatering på hvor i prosessen selskapet er. Møter de motbør er vel det meldepliktig?

Forstår det slik at det kan ta tid å utforme en slik inter kreditor avtale.. Ots brukte vel rundt en måned på samme prosessen?

Kan det være Ghana 1000 da? Den er vel fortsatt under konstruksjon.
I den opprinnelige meldingen var det snakk om gasskraftverk som hadde vært uvirksomme på grunn av mangel på gass.

Det ville vel vært toppen av dobbeltmoral hvis IMSK bedrar aksjonærene med ugyldig kontrakt i Afrika.
Samtidig som de kjører bedragerisak mot MAN. Henger ikke på greip det:P

svaret er pga av at Afrika dealen i Ghana "is dead" for å sitere dagens Tradewinds. Derved kan refinansieringen ryke da dette var en betingelse.

MAN pengene hjelper selvsagt på, men kan hende Skaugen blir slått konk og/eller overtatt av Teekay o.l.

Det er sikkert Ghana 1000 du tenker på. Slik jeg forstår den opprinnelige meldingen fra IMSK, kan det ikke være Ghana 1000. Dette kraftverket er ikke ferdig bygget ennå, og blir ikke før tidligst i 2018.
I den opprinnelige meldingen fra IMSK, står det:"The Company will provide shuttle/feeder services, floating storage
support, as well as storage and offloading of LNG with a client sponsored by two existing gas
fired power plants in Africa. The power plants are new and made for burning natural gas and
have been idle because of lack of gas supply".
Altså to andre kraftverk, hvis man skal tro børsmeldingen.
At Tradewinds sluker og sprer ubekreftede rykter, for stå for deres egen regning.
Ønsker man å lese artikkelen uten å ha abbonnement, googlesøker man den, velger 'cached', og får opp nettsiden i sin helhet.

Fears grow for Skaugen's deal on Ghana ships

Concerns are growing that IM Skaugen’s (IMS) $420m deal to employ three of its small multigas carriers in Ghana could be in doubt.

Insiders in the country say the talk is that the Endeavor Energy-led project to supply LNG to the Ghana 1000 power project at Aboadze is not progressing, with brokers in Europe suggesting the deal is “dead”.

Oslo-listed gas-carrier owner IMS signed a deal covering the 10-year charter for two of the company’s 10,000-cbm multigas carriers and one 12,000-cbm vessel. One of the ships was to be used as a floating storage and offloading unit with the others shuttling-in cargoes.

The company announced the agreement in January without naming the counterparty saying the contract is subject to government approvals and financial conditions.

IMS managing director Morits Skaugen declines to offer any comments on the matter and referred TradeWinds to the company’s chief financial officer, who did not respond.

The Norwegian owner, which is scheduled to announce its first-quarter results on 31 May, has been battling mounting debts. This month it announced that secured lenders had agreed in principle to an extension on loans until 6 April 2018.

The Ghana deal offered a boost for IMS but also sparked confusion in the LNG sector, where there are already two other LNG import projects planned for the West African nation.

Golar LNG floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) Golar Tundra (built 2015) arrived off the country’s coastal city of Tema in June 2016 to act as the import terminal for charterer West Africa Gas Limited (WAGL).

But the FSRU has sat idle since, as no infrastructure has been built and WAGL has not taken full delivery of the unit. Golar said in February that it continues to weigh legal options in regard to collecting charter fees and is looking to trade the vessel in the short-term market.

In a third project for Ghana, Hoegh LNG has signed up to charter its eighth FSRU, the Hoegh Giant, to Quantum Power, for its import project with the Ghana National Petroleum Co.

The FSRU is due for delivery this month, but the project has a scheduled start-up of mid-2018 and Hoegh has said it plans to trade the ship on a short-term basis over the winter.

Hoegh has said it expects all agreements, including the time-charter party for the FSRU, to be in place by the year-end.

Skaugen wins refund from VW’s MAN Diesel
Norwegian owner sees arbitral tribune compel German company to pay around $15.5m in prolonged, bitter row.

IM Skaugen has recorded a victory in its ongoing dispute with Volkswagen-owned MAN Diesel & Turbo as the latter has been compelled to pay a refund of $15.5m.

The Norwegian owner said an arbitration tribunal found that two engines produced in 2008 and 2009 had “a substantially higher consumption than the maximum level warranted by MAN”.

The ICC International Court of arbitration has ordered MAN to refund IM Skaugen its down-payment for the engines of EUR 5.3m ($5.9m).

The engine manufacturer will also have to pay EUR 1.4m for Skaugen’s legal costs and another $8m as a recovery of prepaid funds.

IM Skaugen filed a $20m compensation claim in Singapore in 2015.

But MAN spokesman Jan Mueller tells TradeWinds that the latest decision by the ICC is the latest in a series of awards in the dispute.

"The majority of these proceedings were decided in favour of MAN Diesel & Turbo," he said.

He said MAN is also pursuing substantial claims against Skaugen on different supply contracts.

"MAN Diesel & Turbo SE had tried to amicably settle these issues out of court and had been negotiating with this customer for several months," Mueller said. "The customer had canceled the negotiations unilaterally."

The two companies have been ensnared in a prolonged dispute which stems from an agreement for 12 marine diesels propulsion systems.

IM Skaugen argues that the engines consume more fuel than was promised by MAN.

The German manufacturer has admitted wrongdoing for three out of the 12 engines, IM Skaugen said.

It also added that it has secured documents showing that these allegedly fraudulent manipulations have been performed systematically for more than 10 years and for other clients as well.

Volkswagen has been a shareholder in MAN since 2006 and currently owns a majority stake but it was not involved in the company when the Skaugen units were built.

When IM Skaugen filed its claims two years ago, Volkswagen was in the middle of a major car engine scandal, which forced the chief executive to step down.

IM Skaugen added that there is pending litigation ongoing in Norway as well.

Hvorfor er det Ghana 1000- prosjektet som anses som kraftverket i Skaugens avtale?
Dette prosjektet er jo ikke engang ferdig og vi vet jo heller ikke om avtalen er i Ghana.

Jeg har mer tro på at kunden er i Sør- Afrika. De har slitt med gasstilgang i mange år og har antagligvis kraftverk som ligger i brakk grunnet mangel på gass.
Et ikke navngitt kraftverk ble stengt i 2015 grunnet gassmangel. Aner ikke om dette kan ha startet opp igjen i mellomtida, men tror ikke gasstilgangen i SA har blitt bedre siden 2015. Antar dette kan være Skaugens kunde.
